The RCS Finance Club is a student-led group dedicated to helping young investors learn the fundamentals of finance and investing through hands-on activities and competitions. Our members gain practical experience in stock trading, risk management, and financial literacy, all while working in teams to grow virtual portfolios. Whether you're new to finance or looking to sharpen your skills, our club provides a supportive environment to explore, learn, and excel in the world of investing.
Paper Trading
The RCS Finance Club Paper Trading Competition is a fun, hands-on way for students to learn about investing without using real money. Participants form teams and start with virtual cash, which they use to trade real stocks and assets like ETFs and cryptocurrencies. Throughout the competition, teams make strategic investment decisions, gradually moving from safer investments to more exciting opportunities like crypto. The goal is to maximize the value of your team’s portfolio by the end of the competition. Weekly meetups allow teams to review their performance, adjust strategies, and present their progress. The team with the highest portfolio value at the end wins, with prizes like bragging rights, plenty of snacks, and the skillset to make REAL money!
